EDE’s Mission
At EDE we strive to provide the highest quality of engineering technical expertise to each project. Repeat clients are a sign of our success and have been significant to the continuing development and growth of our firm.
EDE, Inc. was established in 1970 and has since established itself as a widely known and respected MEP/FP firm in New England. Our services include HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Construction Administration. We provide detailed survey analysis for all of the above disciplines as well as investigation studies & reports, cost estimating and building indoor air quality due diligence studies.
EDE has continued to maintain and grow its well established client base. We continue to develop our long term relationships, some of which were started over 30 years ago. We have been involved in many different complex types of projects. We have worked with the most well known Owners, Architects, Institutions and Developers throughout New England.
Since the inception of our new ownership our clientele base has grown quickly, requiring EDE to develop a continued controlled growth of our firm.
The Engineering team at EDE carries with them extensive experience and expertise in all disciplines. Our range of experience and attention to detail enables us to provide our client with the best and most applicable design and approach necessary to ensure successful project completion.
There is no project to big or too small for EDE. We are open to all types of projects and strive to meet out client’s goals.

Kaz Safari
PRESIDENT
Kaz has twenty two years of experience in mechanical systems design for Manufacturing, Healthcare Institutions, Assisted Living Facilities, Correctional, Educational, Multi-family housing, and Computer data centers. He also has extensive knowledge of Construction project management, design review, project development, and value engineering.
Kaz’s design experience ranges from Commercial, Healthcare, Educational, Institutional as well as Housing. He also has extensive experience designing Libraries, Aquariums and other tourist venues. His broad experience in the management of complex projects involving the coordination of many engineering design disciplines coupled with his previous design experiences provides a distinct viewpoint on construction project management and resource utilization.
Steven Quieto, CIPE
VICE PRESIDENT
Steve joined our firm in 2008 as Vice President and Director of our Plumbing/Fire Protection group. Steve brings 29 years of experience in the engineering field to our team.
Steve has a wide range of experience with emphasis on Healthcare and Institutional work for the past 20 years. He has a volume of experience in Public, Private and Federal type projects including but not limited to Educational, Commercial, Residential Office, Retail, Computer Facilities, Dormitories, Sport Facilities and Parking Facilities.
Steve also has extensive experience in Construction Management and Project Management in all of the categories listed above.
James R. Koslowski
MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
Jim has over 25 years of experience in all phases of mechanical design and construction. Primary focus has been HVAC, with secondary focuses on Plumbing and Fire Protection.
Project types have included Hospitals, Computer Facilities, Clean Rooms, Hotels, Educational Facilities, Offices and Residential Properties.
Adam Davidson, PE
PROJECT MANAGER AND SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Adam has over sixteen years experience in healthcare, laboratory and clean room design, office and commercial design as well as institutional work. He is responsible for all aspects of Electrical system design and project management for all phases in advanced technology, institutional commercial, and residential projects. His responsibilities include the development of contract documents from project design criteria, systems layout, sizing and selection of Electrical equipment, code compliance, specification writing and construction administration.
